a friend of mine bought an herbal powder detox and i was wondering are these ingredients good for cleansing the colon intestines? it's to be taken over a 3 day period. my buddy says that the first he did 1 all night long, first time yellow and the rest was all clear. then after the next dose he did 2 all day night. about 6 times all together. he said he had wet bowel movements and that his stomach didn't hurt it just all came out nice and smooth. with that said i'm wondering would these ingredients actually cleanse the colon or are they just producing bowel movements but not actually cleansing the colon. you know something like how a water pill makes you urinate?oops i forgot to list the ingredients. here the are psyllim husk, seena powder, fennel see, peppermint, papaya, rose hips, buckthorn bark, barberry root, celery and acidophilus i think that's the spelling. part of the name got cut off my sheet grape root. it's all in a brown powder.i'm NOT trying to lose weight. if i did that i would disappear i'm trying to cleanse my colon that's it

So, my story is that my wisdom teeth are coming in, and because i've had to take Vicodin too many times in the past, i asked for a more subtle pain killer as to not become addicted. The doctor prescribed Tramidol which if you dont know, is a synthetic opiate. After about two weeks of taking it, my doctor called, told me she cross referanced my chart and said that the dentist should not have given me these due to the fact that i take anti anxiety medicine and to stop taking them immediately. I did and i went through the worst detox of my life with hallucinations, vomiting, crying for no reason, and diarrhea.My question is this, since then, i feel a lot better, but my emotions are still out of whack. Things will randomly tug my heart strings and i often feel lonely. I didnt have this problem before and i hate the vulnerable state its putting me in. What would happen if you were to do the "Lemon Detox" without the maple tree syrup?
I was just wondering ,since i would like to do the lemon detox, if i could use something to replace the syrup since i am allergic to it, or if i would be able to just not use it all together.
