methadone and bupernex?
im on methadone for a past herion addiction.i aslo have cronic pain,and take other meds aswell.im wondering about bupernex and pain.i know what it does fer addiction.but does it[bupernex]help with pain aswell?im detoxing the methadone actually,and will be switching to something somewhat less harsh.any ideas?i know oxycotin,and morphines not much better than methadone,but im so sick of methadone.same with the smack…so whatayuhall think?

I can understand your desire to be off the methadone. Subutex can help manage pain in some patients, but it is addictive, the advantage is the withdrawals are easier than methadone or heroin.
I, personally, would not be prone to putting a patient with a history of heroin addiction on any other pain control medication than methadone. The rest have too high of a psychological addiction factor, especially is a person with a past history of opiate addiction.
I question what you mean by methadone being harsh. It is a very stable medication, with good pain control, and minimal mental effects, when compared to other opiates.
