Question by ilikesweaters: Want to start a new job, but I am on Suboxone.?
Has anyone on Suboxone had any issues getting a new job because of the required drug-test most potential emlpoyers require?

Most employers don’t test for Suboxone so you should be okay. Suboxone doesn’t even show up in multiple panel tests that check for opiates, for you to come up positive the employer would have to specifically be testing for buprenorphine.

Yes, it might be a problem…but it really depends what kind of job. Not everyone tests for Suboxone, but more and more places are because it is being widely misused now and all the major drug testing centers know it.

Question by JT289385: I started on a regimin of 80mg of methadone a day 10 days ago?
10 days ago I used my last hit of heroin , At that time my doc , (which is a addiction specialist ) put me on 80 mg of met a day . In that ten days I have droped myself down to 70mg for the last 4 days and seem to be fine with the drop . Now is this feasible ? to drop 10 mg every 10 days untill I am off ( one quick note )-( I have a very good friend that runs a christian based recovery home that would be dosing my pills ) anyhow in 7 weeks time of droping my dose like this will I experiance any real discomfort ? Hello,
I am currently on Norco 7.5 four times daily due to nerve damage and injury to my spine. I also take 30mg Adderall IR daily as prescribed, and take Ritalin 20mg on the weekends or on my days off, as well as 3 mg Klonopin and 2400mg Gabapentin for nerve damage daily.

I have no idea how drug testing or cutoffs work or anything like that, and I frankly wasn’t concerned when I went in for my first pain contract test as I’ve done nothing wrong (I asked to go on a contract after an Urgent Care doc treated me like a drug addict. It was a lovely experience. He sent me home after trying to force me into pain meds I didn’t want, with a partially dislocated shoulder (that he “overlooked”).    Read more...
